Every time we visit La Paz, we stay at this stunning resort nestled right off the marina — and honestly, it never disappoints. The property sits within a gated community surrounded by yachts, palm trees, and views that instantly put you in vacation mode. It’s about a 15-minute drive to the Malecón, and while the resort offers a convenient shuttle service and golf carts, we usually rent a car for the flexibility — it makes exploring and planning our days a breeze. Within the complex, you’ll find everything you could possibly need: high-end restaurants offering sushi, authentic Mexican dishes, and cozy coffee spots — even a small market for essentials. There’s also an on-site café serving Starbucks coffee, which is a nice touch for those early mornings by the water. What we love most, though, is the saltwater pool with a swim-up bar — it’s hands-down one of the best pools in all of La Paz. The vibe is laid-back but luxurious, perfect for relaxing under the Baja sun with a cocktail in hand. The rooms are beautifully designed with thoughtful amenities: a Nespresso machine, steamer, hairdryer, and complimentary bottled water and coffee refreshed daily. It’s the small touches that make your stay feel so effortless. The staff here truly go above and beyond — warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. And the resort’s architecture and interior design are absolutely breathtaking. From the sculptural wooden installations in the lobby to the sweeping ocean views framed by minimalist décor, every detail feels intentional and serene. If you’d rather stay close to home base, there are several wonderful restaurants just steps away, so you can enjoy incredible food and sunset views without ever leaving the property. This resort captures everything that makes La Paz special — tranquility, beauty, and impeccable hospitality. It’s the kind of place you never want to check out of.

A solid 4 stars. The hotel is in a great location set in a gated marina. The marina itself offers some excellent dining options. We had a seafront king at $350 a night with breakfast (breakfast at Barco was great). The hotel is clean and modern. Great rain shower. Good spa and services. Large pool with a swim up bar. The beach entrance (Puerto/Beach Club) is a short walk from the hotel. The beach club has excellent cocktails and food options (I assume cooked at Barco). Rooms are comfortable enough. Staff are friendly and helpful. Some specific cons to note (small issues but they add up to make this an average hotel for the price) 1. The glass bathroom door has a good 6 inches top and bottom offering limited privacy (see photo). 2. I know it’s winter but the pool is freezing. 3. No shower at the pool. Can’t rinse sandy feet when coming from the beach so we just ended up rinsing them in the pool. 4. Also, no foot rinse leaving the beach. Small issue but really frustrating (there is a shower but surrounded by sand). 5. Check in and out is slow. 6. One chair on the balcony (in the king and double rooms). That’s pretty ridiculous. 7. One sink in the bathroom. Again, a small issue but just inconvenient. 8. There was almost always leftover food, pizza boxes etc left in the hallway that stayed there all day. 9. One day the room wasn’t made up and we were out all day (til 4pm), that is pretty poor service.

The stay at Hotel Indigo La Paz Puerta Cortés was very pleasant. The hotel was modern and well located by the ocean. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, making the hotel a great place to rest and enjoy La Paz.

I LOVED this place soo much I am already planning my next trip back. Their room size was slightly small but perfectly adequate for a 3 nights stay. We get late check out with status and that was really nice. The beach club is AMAZING and has like the best food. The room service also had pretty good food in our opinion. You must try the tomatoes salad. So fresh! We also used the spa for massages and steam room and HIGHLY recommend it. The BED. OMG. I have not woken up without backache for YEARS and all 3 nights here I slept soundly and woke up with no back pain. Hotel Indigo, if you are reading this review PLEASE tell me what mattress brand/type do you have. I was in room 318. PLEASEEE. Thank you and I cannot wait to come back!

Great rooms, great pool, great restaurant, great service.....the beach is very accessible, but no beach chairs for hotel indigo.

What a lovely hotel and the staff is even more lovely Elizabeth and Jonathan both were standouts. Every morning Elizabeth would greet us at Barco and then remember us when we went to Peurto. We learned that she’s training to be a receptionist and can’t wait to return and see her excel at that role as well. Jonathan took care of us at the beach club. He seamlessly blended in the history of the regions and the Mezcal itself that we were tasting. Fabulous experience!
